I just love the fun costumes at Halloween

Hi Everyone,

Halloween is always a fun time of year with kooky decorations and crazy costumes. Every year the kids try to find the perfect costume. Last year, Kirstin was determined to be a hippie. I just loved her rainbow eyelashes. The fun patterns of Eerie paper work great with her hippie tones and tie died shirt.


Every year lots of kids Trick or Treat at our house. This was the huge gang last year. From babies to teens, from Star Wars to the 60's.

"Basic" Fun from Eerie!

Hi Scrappers!
Well, I'm probably the last to post this month. Remember how I bragged last month about how fast that layout went together? This month's layout took a bit longer. Maybe because I kept tinkering with it. Or maybe because I have to admit to not being as in love with Halloween as our dear Cindy is, so it took me a while to find some photos I felt like scrapping. And, well, maybe I should confess that I was spending a lot of time talking to KC this past weekend (yes, Jill, you DID see drool on my face!) instead of actually cropping :-) But, finally the results are in .... and I really enjoyed working with Basic Grey's Eerie Line. I had a blast playing with the "Evil Eye" pattern. I ended up cutting out design strips and using them as borders around "Spiders Web" for use as my background. (After playing with using the paper several ways, I ended up sponging white ink over the design) The Eerie sticker alphas were great for my title (and I added some "bling" to both my title and the Little Yellow Bicycle journal spots) Finished the layouts with a few Eerie stickers and Tah! Dah! Ended with a spook-tacular layout! Enjoy the boo-ti-ful fall weather and stop by the store soon ... there's always lots of "treats" awaiting our customers! Gina A.

Tree album class

Hi everyone! I have the great chipboard album from Kaiser and its covered with my favorite line of papers this year so far... MME Colorful Christmas coming up for class.

This will be an easy class... worried about cutting it??? Well, don't! My buddy Lida Hetrick helped me out with a great file and I will have all your pages cut for you...simply glue them down!!!

"Basic" Fun with Eerie!

Boo to you!

Here is a card I just put the finishing touches on. I played with lots of Copics, some Eerig Basic Grey paper, and ribbon and bling of course. I love love love the stamp I used on this card. It is from Impression Obsession and I think it is just fab! Makes you want to take out your markers and play.

Basic Grey is back!

I scrap lifted this months deign team pages straight from Basic Grey. This layout is part of their monthly class kit, "all about me". If you're like me you have a ton of halloween paper for a day that only comes once a year. This layout uses their line in a way that isn't specific to halloween, but could be neautral enough for any day pics. What a great idea, so I lifted it! Check out the rest of their class kits, each month features a different line and comes with full size embelishments to complete the layouts. It's an easy way to get ideas on how to use or what to do with their paper and products. Another great idea from Basic Grey! (and Gina P.)

So Eerie!

Here are some cards I've made with Eerie so far. Using this line has given me a chance to open up some of the acrylic Halloween stamps I've purchased over the past month or so. It's always fun having new toys to play with! These cards feature Inkadinkado stamps along with Eerie, and of course ribbon and bling.

Soooo Spooky

For once I got my project in the store on time... in fact early! :)
I made this spooky album using the Basic Grey Eerie line
I also used the 3D embellishment sticker pack from BG
Other items in this album are flowers, ribbon, and a pack of Jollees (which Tracy just ordered )

I also made this neat card with the Basic Greay papers too and the new shaker circles from Impression Obsession ( at the store in the back by the stamps )


and then of course it wouldn't be from me if I didn't have some kind of box for ya... I used up the rest of my scraps to make this candy holder



I have some more samples of the shaker circles I'll post at a later date... so stay posted!

Jill made a mini album

Hi Everyone,

Jill is still blog challenged and now she had even less time to learn because she got a puppy! Little Grace is doing well and Jill has even taken a lot of photos of her. Delilah was a perfect line to use for this mini album about Grace. The pink and browns work perfect with her fur!

It's creepy...it's spooky...it's Eerie!!

For October, the Design Team's focus will be a fabulous new line from Basic Grey called Eerie. Think spiderwebs and bats, sculls and cats, and delicious patterns in Halloween colors. I am thrilled to once again focus on Halloween projects since it is my favorite holiday.

My next class

No, it's not Delilah related, but it is pretty cool if I say so myself. Here are pics of the cards I am teaching at my next class. The focus of these cards is Fall and I am using the fabulous Simple Blessings stamp set by Unity, with stamps designed by our awesome Lisa Hetrick. These cards are great for the Fall season or for Thanksgiving, or for anything really. So come join me on Saturday 10/3/09 and learn the Rock 'n Roll technique (super easy!), play with Copic markers, and be prepared to do some cutting as all of the cards have stamped images that have been cut out.

Can't make it that Saturday? I can make a kit up for you. Everything will be pre-stamped, but you will get the directions and put the cards together yourself.
