Hi Everyone,
As usual, I made a major typo. #4 on the Design Team contest is Pattie G. not Peggy. Unfortunately, in order for me to fix the Spelling of her name I would have to delete the poll and start over. We already have over 70 votes so I can't do that. I'm sorry Pattie! All Pattie's fans vote for #4.

Reposting of First and Second Contest entries
Our First entry comes from Linda M. She created this adorable card and has the instructions too.
Here is the second entry in our monthly Design Team Contest.
Helen W. designed this lovely accordion card and used a Memory Box stamp and Flower Soft to decorate it. She was also nice enough to write up the instructions for you to try this on your own.

Our Seventh Contest Entry
Our Seventh contest entry comes from Alice I. This 7 Gypsies tray is really an eye catcher and everyone is asking about it. Have no fear, I ordered some of them and they should be in our store by Thursday next week. If you want us to hold one for you, give us a call. I took a couple of photos of this project so that you can see the detail that she put into the handmade flowers and journaling box.
Our Sixth Contest Entry
Our Fifth Contest Entry
Our fifth entry comes from Paulette T. who made us two fun creations. First off, Paulette made a fun layout by using the backside of one of the Vintage Blue papers. The cool thing about the We R Memory Keepers lines is that instead of having a seperate 6x6 paper pad, they just put the smaller designs on the back of their papers. Paulette cut apart one of those sheets and used it as her 3 photo mats. She also used a large chipboard E from Bo Bunny and covered it with the plaid paper.

Our Third and Fourth Contest Entries
Third Entry
We received these delightful layouts from Lynn B. She made excellent use of the tag embellishments from this line and used them for her journaling boxes on two of the layouts. I also love her mixing of the patterned papers. It just shows that you can mix patterned papers as long as they match.
Fourth Entry
Patty G. created this lovely layout using different punches. I love the layered flowers and she sprayed her tag with Glimmer Mist to give it a nice shine.

You're sweet card
I only have one thing done so far this month for the design team. I cant believe how fast it has gone! I created this 6x6 card with a stamped image from Sara Kay and colored it in with Copics. I used these great little flowers Tracy has just gotten in with the rhinestones already attached. The punch used was a Martha Stewart border punch.
Have a great night!

Hangin with the Locals & By The Sea
I love these photos of my son and nephews in their shades on the beach. The "Hangin' with the Locals" sticker from the Combo Sticker Sheet from Bo Bunny's new Paradise collection seemed made for my photos! I matted the photos with Bo Bunny Double Dot Orange Citrus Dot and mounted them on the Harbor Diecut paper. Behind one of the photos I used a bracket-shaped mat from the Cut-outs sheet. The birds, starfish and surfboards(with a little Mudd Puddles for the sandy effect!) from the Adhesive Chipboard Sheet were the perfect accents. I "hung" my title from a knotted peice of twine wrapped around an iCandy Brad. One of my fave touches on this layout was the twine I laced over the wood stump the bird is perched upon.
Bo Bunny makes beautiful layouts a breeze with their coordinating papers and embellishments. I was able to make this layout in record time for me but still loved the results. Once again I found the back of a paper (Flight) served as the perfect base. I used EK's Embossed Curve Border Punch to create the eye-catching scalloped border with the Boardwalk paper. The gorgeous shabby-chic brown side of Paradise was used across the center of the layout with a remaining strip (the palm trees) used on the right side of my page for a nice pop of color. The chip palm trees with hammock were part of the huge Adhesive Chipboard Sheet. I went a little outside of my box by using Diamond Stickles on the tree tops and adding some blue tulle tied around the trunks to accentuate the hammock. Wish I was laying in that hammock now with a Pina Colada in hand. Soon enough! Thanks Bo Bunny for the generous assortment from which to choose!!

Bo Bunny "Bucket Full of Memories"
Hi From Lisa C,
Bo Bunny is always one of my most favorite companies and this spring, they did it again! The new Paradise beach line just had to come home with me the same day I unpacked the boxes at the store! This first layout I created used the back-side of Lingo as the base then layered with Locals on the left side of the page. Next I used the Embossed Curve Edger Punch from EK Success on two papers (Surf and Paradise) and layered them. My favorite components on my layout are the giant "bucket full of memories" from the Paradise Cut-outs and the journaling box from the Combo Sticker sheet. Why are they my favorites? Because if you look closely you will see I added real sand from Mudd Puddles!!! Finallly, I added a few shells from the 12x12 Chipboard sheet and a few iCandy Brads. Looking at this page I can almost smell the salty air and feel the sand between my toes. Come on summer!!

Emily's purse
Who is Emily you ask? Emily is a good friend and one of the reasons I started stamping. This cute little purse was made with Emily's help because I cannot make these kinds of things on my own. Em made an awesome pink and black purse and posted it to her blog a few weeks ago; I fell in love immediately and tried to replicate it on my own with no luck. Yesterday I went to her house for a some playtime and she gave me a template. Thanks, Emily!! While Emily's purse was made from a 12x12, I had already cut into this month's DT paper so I decided to try my hand at a smaller purse made from 9x9 instead. I did not add a lot to it but I thought it turned out well enough to post here to the blog. What do you all think of my first purse try?

NEW HERO! NEW TIM HOLZ!
Hi,
Lisa Hetrick here.
I interrupt this crappy, rainy day for a little bit of spring time inspiration, chock full of COLOR!
LOVING the new HERO ARTS Designs in Wood Silhouette stamps and NEW Tim Holtz Distress inks. Um... RUN, don't walk into the store and get them NOW!
I used this new stamp from Hero Arts: Large Line Flowers. Perfect for COPICS, paper piecing and my new favorite technique. Embossing/Distressing with Ranger Distress Inks. In the card design I used: chipped sapphire, tumbled glass, wild honey and bundled sage. LOVE THIS color combination! The new colors are luscious, rich and so versatile. I also used PERFECT PEARLS to finish it off and give it shimmer. You can get all these products and oh, so much more in the store. Stay tuned for a comprehensive distress ink class I'm putting together for April.

Quick and easy
Here is a truly 10-minute card that I made using our DT line, Vintage Blue. There is no rule out there that says cards have to be complicated and sometimes you need a card quick. I just adore the pink plaid from this line; it is my favorite pattern! All I needed was a little of the plaid, one Hero Arts stamp, one Memento ink (Lilac Posies), a couple of flowers and some bling. Again I used a die from the Nestabilities Labels 8 set. Their dies have endless possibilities!

Beach Babes
I was so excited to use We R Memory Keepers Vintage Blue line for our latest Design Team project! The colors and the embellishments were suited to so many of my photos it was hard to choose. I finally settled on beach photos from last summer as beach layouts are some of my faves to do! I was inspired by the embellie "you are my favorite" as we joke about that in my house all the time. Using Photo Scraps print services I blew up a pix of my 3 children together to 8x10to use on the first page. On page two I added pictures of my two sisters' children at the beach. We R's Flocked Lace made the perfect accent going across the page. The alphabets I used came exclusively in the Scrapbook Pad! The Scrapbook Pad is such a great buy with 3 sheets of each paper in the line, plus alphabet stickers, and exclusive embellishments. I topped off my layouts with a few Dew Drops. I just love these monthly collections from We R Memory Keepers! I cannot wait for March's 72 & Sunny line!
A quilt card
Well I finally had a chance to play just a little bit with our DT line this month, Vintage Blue by We R Memory Keepers. I love the colors in this line! The blues, greens, and magenta really speak to me. I hope to have some more play time later to create a few more items.
My first card this month is a quilt card. A little bit of a labor of love for all the cutting and inking I had to do, but I think it came together nicely. And I love love love the Labels 8 shape from Nestabilities. So for this card, I cut squares from various pieces of the Vintage Blue line, glued them onto a piece of scrap cardstock, then ran it thru my CB (Cuttlebug) with the Labels 8 die. A quick Hero Arts sentiment stamp and some ribbon finished it off nicely.
Make sure to check out the Design Team wall when you come into the store. There are wonderful waiting for you!

Feeling Spring in your Step?
Hi everyone,
Lisa Hetrick here. The design team wall is up and you need to stop by the store and take a peekie. This month, we are all using the NEW WRMemory Keepers Vintage Blue product line. Super goodies in that line. The papers are fresh with lots of blues, greens, oranges and cremes. There's a mix of vintage style florals, birdies and butterflies all with a modern twist. LOVE IT!
Here's my creative share for you this month. I whipped up some cards. And... in the spirit of SPRING, I just had to do this super cute little birdie wall hanging. The chipboard BIRD is from Maya Road. There is a mix of stamped images and die cuts in the cards. The stamps are super cute and just $1. Can't beat that. I used all NEW inks from Tim Holtz's distress ink line.
Speaking of Tim Holtz. I'm going to be running a super duper technique class next month using the distress ink line and perfect pearls. Here are the sample cards. You will make a technique guide sheet as I will walk you through four techniques. Then, we'll apply those techniques to three card designs. You will be SHOCKED at all you can do with these inks. Hope to see you there. Stay tuned for the April dates coming soon!

March Design Team
Wow, can you believe March is here already? Is snow what you would consider coming in like a lion? If so, I am ready for it to go out like a lamb. With a new month comes a new paper line for the Photo Scraps Design Team to work with. This month we are using a brand new line by We R Memory Keepers called Vintage Blue. The colors and patterns have a retro feel with pretty blues and pinks, oranges and cream. I know some of my DT cohorts already have their projects made and should be posting them soon. I have not even had a chance to play with the papers I picked out of the line but I am hoping to this week. Stay tuned!
