Jill made a mini album

Hi Everyone,

Jill is still blog challenged and now she had even less time to learn because she got a puppy! Little Grace is doing well and Jill has even taken a lot of photos of her. Delilah was a perfect line to use for this mini album about Grace. The pink and browns work perfect with her fur!

My next class

No, it's not Delilah related, but it is pretty cool if I say so myself. Here are pics of the cards I am teaching at my next class. The focus of these cards is Fall and I am using the fabulous Simple Blessings stamp set by Unity, with stamps designed by our awesome Lisa Hetrick. These cards are great for the Fall season or for Thanksgiving, or for anything really. So come join me on Saturday 10/3/09 and learn the Rock 'n Roll technique (super easy!), play with Copic markers, and be prepared to do some cutting as all of the cards have stamped images that have been cut out.
Can't make it that Saturday? I can make a kit up for you. Everything will be pre-stamped, but you will get the directions and put the cards together yourself.

Trend Watcher ....and her Delilah Paper

Hi from Gina P.

If you check out the design team wall of fame you may see a trend starting. The popular scalloped circle paper from BoBunny's Delilah line is every where! I took mine to the lower corner of the page and carried it over to the next page of my layout. (notice the trend here to continue your die cut paper so you have a continuous flow to your layout) I also got a little Hetrickish by adding some of my scalloped paper to the upper right corner of my second page! I was trying to get out of my super symetrical box and branch out into Lisa Hetrick's world of design! I also used brown pearls as accents to the flowers on my paper. It is a little bit of bling without over doing it because it's on a brown background. Now that the kids are back in school I have more time to play with paper! I hope you can do the same and try something new, get out of your box!

Acrylic Frame

Hi everyone!! September already??? Well ... sorry my post is late... I get sick every year this time. Yuck! I couldn't wait to work with this line... my mind was saying go and play in your scrap room but my body had other ideas! lol

Here I created a wall hang... its simply made from a square piece of acrylic. I stamped the flower vine using a brown staz on. The stamp is made by Hero Arts, the ribbon is Bazzill and of course the paper is Basic Grey and last but not least the bling is Kaiser.

I will have this and the 3 cards I made with this line in the store tomorrow. I can't wait to see ALL the new items they have gotten in! I am such an addict!! My heart races my hands sweat!! Its crazy!!! I love going to my home away from home!!

Have a good one!

Embrace your mistakes!

There are no mistakes in stamping. It is just a chance for embellishment. Have you ever heard that? Well, this card has lots of mistakes on it, but you can't tell when you look at it because it looks like it was supposed to be that way. Do you want me to confess what they are? Hmmm, where should I start...

First, my Swiss Dots embossed piece was layed down so that the "debossed" side faces up. And yes, it still looks good, but it is not what I had been going for. I glued the paper down without even looking at the pattern and then realized it was on the wrong side. Second, I have my die cut piece (the AWESOME Labels 8 by Spellbinders) laying the wrong way. I wanted it so that the points of the frame were facing up. I will get it right the next time. Like I said, it still looks good and it looks like it was meant to be that way. This is just a little encouragement for those out there who think they make mistakes and have to trash the whole project. I say embrace them instead!

I used 2 different pieces od Delilah for this card, added some bling and ribbon and a couple of stamp and Copic markers and voila, it turned out good even though it was not what I envisioned.

Hauntingly Sweet

Leave it to me to find Halloween in Delilah. Last night I was cruising some sites and came across a fabulous card using our own Lisa Hetrick's Hauntingly Sweet set that she designed for Unity. I had to make the card of course but change it up a little so that it is "my own".

I find that all of us are inspired by others whether it be from projects we see in person, or things on the web, or magazines, etc. Sometimes it is so nice to just have a layout ready and waiting for you and not have to think about how you are going to set up your card or page. I participate in a TON of sketch/layout challenges that I come across on the web, because it gives me a great base from which to start my card.

This particular card uses the back side of the Delilah paper that has the bold colorful flowers on it, #12D316. I also used the new Bo Bunny dot paper that coordinates with the Delilah. I added Stickles to my main image to give it a glow, and of course there is ribbon and Dew Drops on it. I would have put bling on it, but I am embarrassed to admit that a spider (yuk!) crawled into my bling box and has taken up residence in it. I hate spiders and so I do not want to stick my hand in there to get any bling out. Sounds like a job for the hubby!

I hope you come in to check out our DT wall. It is so much more spectacular in person, as are all the fab new products we have in!

Happy Sept. from Gina A!

Hello Scrappers!
If you haven't had a chance to come into the store yet this month, make it a priority because I don't think the pics due jutice to this month's beautiful and creative BoBunny projects! Like our other Design Team members, I loved working with the Delilah line of papers and created a cute two-page spread about my daughter and her friend. I kept it pretty simple and both pages only took me about 45 minutes total to create! Woo! Hoo! Lots of new scrappers in the 101 Classes ask me for tips on matching papers and supplies - how easy it is if you create your pages using papers and embellishments from the same line - all the matching is done for you! I added the matching brads and flowers as embellishments on these layouts and love the extra "zing" they give the pages. If you look closely, you'll notice that I "scrap-lifted" the tag/title idea from the cover of this month's Scrapbooks ETC! I sponged some ink on the tags to make them match the design colors and tucked an additional tag into the side of one layout for some extra journaling space. Cardstock stickers/letters from the same paper line completed the look. Simple, pretty ... and FINISHED in 45 minutes.... gotta love Delilah!

The NEW Delilah is a MUST HAVE!

Hi. Lisa Hetrick here.
RUN, don't WALK to PhotoScraps and check out the new Delilah.

It is scrumdillyicious.

The browns, pinks and oranges are perfect for all your fall projects.

Here are my creations for this month's design team wall.
First up... a handmade card case, with notecards inside. Two points to ponder about the note cards... ONE, they use the new Spellbinders Labels Eight die that of course you can get at the store, and TWO, I'm giving you a little sneakie peekie at a new Unity Stamp Company set I have coming out called Sending My Love. Go check it out in the store. All the stamped sentiments and images I used in my projects come from this new set.

Here's the card case closed.

Here's the card case opened, complete with the sneakie peekies inside.

And... Here is a little mini album of six cards using the new papers, bits, baubles and new sentiments. You're going to have to go to the store to see all six. And... (cause there's always more) I made the little mini album using the BIND IT ALL. If you like to make little books, this tool is a must have. Tracy carries it in the store and it is the perfect shade of PINK.

Enjoy the cool days and CREATE something fun!

Time 4 Mom by Lisa C.

Bo Bunny products are always so inspiring to me and the warm tones and feminine designs of Delilah were no exception! I used the back side of Delilah Stripe as my background papers as I just loved the splashes of pink running through the creamy solid. Next I carefully cut the inner circle out of the Scalloped Circle diecut paper (I can never resist a diecut paper!!) giving me the continuity of circles of both sides of the layout. The Scalloped Circle outline created the perfect frame for some of my fave photos. Bo Bunny's Double Dot paper in the new Flamingo color worked perfectly as accents and photo mats. Basic Grey's self-adhesive chipboard alphabets and Pink Paislee's Expressions clear abc stickers, both in chocolate, helped create a fun page title. Naturally, I had to use the new Bo Bunny flowers and stickers from the Delilah combo sticker sheet to embellish my page along with a few brads from my stash.

Here's Deliala

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to post an early photo of the Design Team wall for September. This new Bo Bunny line is perfect for fall. There are some great tree designs along with some beautiful flowers.

First Delilah card

Here is the card I mentioned in my post last night, my first one using Bo Bunny's Delilah line. Lotsa layers and quite a bit of cutting but I love how it turned out. The most fab thing about this card is it uses our very own Lisa Hetrick designed Unity stamp set, Love In The Air. This is one of my most favorite whimsical stamp sets - I just adore it! You don't see a lot of hot air balloon stamps out there.

So for this card, I stamped the hot air balloon on a Bo Bunny paper, cut it out, then mounted it to my Nestabilities Pinking Circles dies. This is the first time I have used the Pinking Circles and I must admit, I like them a whole lot. Are you asking where are the Stickles I mentioned last night? They are on various parts of the balloon and you may not quite be able to see them from this picture, but I guarantee that you can see them when you come in the store.

So come in, check out our Design Team wall, our umcomping classes, and all the new goodies we have gotten in!

Hey there, Delilah...

Do you remember that song from last year that was so popular? Are you singing it with me? I've been singing it ever since I left Photo Scraps today because the name of the new Bo Bunny line we are using for Design Team this month is Delilah. Pretty pinks and oranges, some browns and yellows too. Being a stripe fanatic, the first thing I grabbed was the beautiful striped paper. I have a really hard time resisting stripes. I also picked up a floral and 2 colors of their dot paper. One of the wonderful things about Bo Bunny is that their papers are double sided...more bang for your buck! And of course everything coordinates.

So far I have made one card, and I think it is FAB but it is drying right now. I actually busted out the Stickles. While I love to add sparkle and pizzaz to my projects, I am very impatient and usually do not go for the glitter glue because it takes too long to dry. I do not do well with delayed gratification :o) But, this card really benefitted from it and I am glad I did it. I may not be up by the time it is dry, but I promise to post the card tomorrow.

Keep checking in with our blog to see the other DT projects for the month!
